Privacy Policy

Daylight Thanks Privacy Policy

Daylight Thanks is designed around private gratitude journaling, explicit sharing choices, and clear disclosure when remote services or AI may be involved.

Information handled by the app

  • Journal entries, mood tags, prompts, weekly recap state, and widget-safe recap text.
  • Account and sync information when a user signs in or uses cloud-backed circle features.
  • Circle sharing, prompt responses, comments, reactions, and reporting/moderation state when community features are used.
  • StoreKit subscription entitlement state for Daylight Plus purchases and restores.
  • AI prompts and related journal context only when a user consents to AI help or uses an AI feature.

Local, cloud, and AI processing

Private journal text stays local by default in the app experience. Cloud-backed features may use Supabase-backed authentication, sync, and community data. Runtime AI features may use on-device Apple Foundation Models when available, or remote providers routed through Cloudflare AI Gateway for observability, rate limits, and fallback controls.

Data choices

Users can change sharing visibility, disable AI help, export recap content, restore purchases, and request account deletion from Settings. Account deletion clears local data in the app and initiates deletion of account-backed data where applicable.

What this policy does not claim

Daylight Thanks does not claim that no data is ever collected or processed. Accounts, sync, community features, support email, StoreKit, and AI routing can involve service providers.
